As part of a trade exchange deal struck with The S.A. Internet, all visitors to our domain will have
The S.A. Internet's homepage automatically spawned behind our web. This solution is so much better than pop-up advertising and web site banners. Please understand that it costs The S.A. Internet money to free host this site, it will cost them even more for planned future CEASA-National and Branch domains. There is nothing sinister about this extra page you will see on exiting our domains, except perhaps your wondering how the extra browser window came to be there in the first place. Our planned domain entry pages will only spawn The S.A. Internet's homepage once per browsing session, so you will be able to page back and forth within our webs, without many pop-under windows being generated! Besides, if you want to catch up on both local and international news, The S.A. Internet is a great site to browse anyway.

Sunday, 3 November 2002

As your CEASA-KZN representatives, Rob Dickinson and Gerald Koning attended the CEASA National Council meeting held in Johannesburg on Saturday, 2 November 2002. For the benefit of all CEASA family members, we will donate our CEASA-KZN pages of national commonality and interest to the CEASA-National web. This CEASA-KZN domain will continue to grow and be preserved as your regional portal to local news, activity announcements, the CEASA KZN member list, photo albums, sponsorship and so on. Our hitherto familiar Objectives, FAQ, Group Discussion, Downloads, Employment, CE Links and other common resource pages will be moved to the new CEASA-National Web.

The formal launch of the CEASA KZN Branch and appointment of the 6 month Interim CEASA KZN Steering Committee is announced by the CEASA President. SAACE is formally pronounced history and CEASA will now be the official and only voice for Clinical Engineering practitioners in South Africa.

Riaan van der Watt and Johan van Roon, representing both CEASA and ECSA, addressed impending legislation issues concerning persons practicing in the field of Clinical Engineering. This inaugural CEASA meeting at Prince Mshiyeni Hospital was primarily arranged by Martin Dercksen, with input from James Hardman, Rob Dickinson (past SAACE Natal Chairman), CEASA Northern Sector and many other interested parties in Clinical Engineering. Most of us were feeling the need for local unification, uniform representation and learning about how the impending legislation would affect daily Clinical Engineering personnel in South Africa.
